Competition for great writing

The Young Muslim Writers Awards are back and they are looking for great short stories and poems from those aged five to 16 years.

Those aged over 11 years can also enter the journalism category, by writing an article of up to 1,000 words about a subject that you're passionate about, or the categories for screenplays or play scripts.

The cut-off date for entering is 31st July 2017.

Those who are shortlisted will be invited to the awards ceremony and an evening of great performances.
