Cressida Cowell headlines ReadingZone Festival

Cressida Cowell, bestselling author of the How to Train Your Dragon books, will join the 2018 ReadingZone Festival with a public event on Saturday 3rd February at Dorking Halls in Surrey, to talk about her new series The Wizards of Once.

Authors including radio presenter Christian O'Connell, Kaye Umansky, Rupert Wallis, Dan Smith, Gary Northfield and Christopher Edge will also join the ReadingZone Festival schools' programme.

The authors will visit schools in Epsom, Reigate, Redhill and Dorking and will meet more than 3,000 children during the full week of author events, inspiring them to try some writing themselves - and to read fabulous new books!

Christian O'Connell will be inspiring children in the world of radio with his new book, Radio Boy and the Revenge of Grandad; Kaye Umansky will talk fantasy and magic and introduce her series Pongwiffy and her new book, The Witch in the Tower; Gary Northfield will take children to the Roman times with his madcap animal adventure series Julius Zebra; Christopher Edge will cover big subjects in science and the world through his books, The Jamie Drake Equation and The Many Worlds of Albie Bright; while Rupert Wallis will inspire students' creative writing and world-building through his latest title, The Boy With One Name.

During her special ReadingZone Festival event, Cressida Cowell will introduce her new series, The Wizards of Once, and answer children's questions.
